Coastal Adaptive Sports
Coastal Adaptive Sports is the mother of the Coastal Chairmen. The Chairmen are an NWBA team under Coastal Adaptive Sports. It is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization, dedicated to facilitating sports opportunities and scheduling recreation activities to enhance the lives of individuals and families who have disabilities. We are an organization that facilitates and participates in around 100 events a year including: adaptive surfing, adaptive biking, wheelchair basketball, track and field events, and many more social events.
Adaptive Athletics
Adaptive Athletics is a nonprofit organization aimed at developing options, participation, awareness and understanding of Adaptive sports in our community. Our goal is to develop, produce and grow multiple sporting opportunities to and for disabled individuals. As an all-inclusive organization we will offer something for everyone, regardless of physical limitations. Our vision is to have year round sports, introducing athletics to people who may not even know they are an athlete yet. We plan on holding frequent clinics and training sessions to recruit new faces, try new things and expand our base.

While working at an area restaurant, Chris Efaw was introduced to a local business owner looking to get out of the business. After acquiring his first pick-up and delivery-only location off of Hwy 9, he began on a quest to develop the perfect pie. After experimenting with different dough recipes, Chris was finally satisfied with the dough that would prove to be the base of his phenomenal recipes. After years of success, he moved into his second location down the street, and after 3 years, the demand for his product grew to a point where he was able to move to his current location at 170 Surfrider BLVD

Erica Umpierrez, MD is a fellowship trained hand and upper extremity surgeon who specializes in all conditions of the arm, including fractures, arthritis, tendon disorders, sports injuries, and nerve compression or damage. She is trained in arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgical approaches, and microvascular surgery.
